Blepharoplasty is used to rejuvenate the area around the eyes, one of the parts of the face which is most often and most rapidly affected by the passing of time. It can be carried out to tackle excess skin on the upper eyelid, heavy bags under the lower eyelid, a very marked tear groove or even very evident crow’s feet. In some cases, it can be combined with an eyebrow lift to achieve an overall improvement in appearance.
Following a period of post-operative swelling and after healing, a more rested and youthful appearance is achieved. A return to full social life takes about ten days, but normal activity can be resumed a few days after the procedure.
