After obtaining a diploma in sciences from the Quadri High School in Vicenza, Leonardo Rossati attended the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Verona, graduating in 2008 with a thesis on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
During the last years of his degree course, he began attending the prestigious Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department and the Burns Unit of the Verona Hospital, directed by Prof. Barisoni and Dr. Rigotti. It was here that Dr. Rossati developed a particular interest in breast reconstruction, in the care and treatment of scarring in burn patients and in aspects of reconstructive and oncological skin surgery.
In 2010, he began his residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Padua, while continuing to treat and operate on patients at Verona Hospital. He spent five years on further study of a number of areas in the sector, with a particular focus on breast surgery, post-traumatic reconstructive surgery, skin cancer surgery, hand surgery and the care and treatment of burn patients.
During the same period, he furthered his practice and knowledge by participating in important congresses and theoretical-practical courses all over the world, and working as both a clinician and surgeon at the Jaliscense Institute and Puerta del Hierro Hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico, and at the prestigious clinic of Dr. Raul Gonzalez in Ribierão Preto, Brazil. Further opportunities for study and research at the Institute of Anatomy in Bordeaux and the University of Utrecht helped consolidate his theoretical knowledge and operating abilities. After completing his specialisation studies with top marks and honours in June 2015, he began his private practice.
Following the completion of his specialisation studies, he worked for two years as a plastic surgery consultant at the ULSS 9 Scaligera local health authority, and began working with the Plastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery Unit in the San Francesco Hospital in Verona, where he dealt with breast reconstruction using fat transfer.
He has been working for around 5 years at the prestigious Villa Bella Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Salò, performing aesthetic medicine and surgical operations.
He works and operates in several non-hospital clinics in the area of aesthetic medicine and surgery in the provinces of Vicenza, Verona, Brescia and Trento. He is a member of the Italian Society of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (SICPRE) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
